True to form the magnums were somewhat disorganized but mostly due to the rain this Friday morning. Plans were changed to have breakfast at The Club instead of Uncle Bills. We soon found out that due to the weather, the outside pool bar would not open at 8 am as usual, but 9 am. So plans were changed again to go to The Castle, one of Bruce's dives, located south of Marine Ave. on Sepulveda Blvd ( or for those that are geographically challenged), across from the Car Wash. And true to form, Susan, Cedric and Gerry Morton went to Uncle Bills at the prearranged time of 7:45 am. Anyway, Cedric found his way back to The Castle and the almost late Mr. Hallett, for whom everyone wanted to see, did not show up on account of his wife's chemo hangover. Bob had to leave early and Tom arrived late but Coach Bruce did receive and open the gift from the magnums in appreciation for his time and effort. I have got to say, the pork chop breakfast was really, really good. Bruce's eyes were closed because he was savoring his three double kahlua coffees.
